It is the mission of Fondation EurActiv to embody and diffuse the non-commercial principles of EurActiv: efficiency, transparency and neutrality. The foundation provides guidance on editorial strategy and media independence to the EurActiv network of policy portals.
Since 2004 Fondation EurActiv has provided in-house training for EurActiv team members, including interns and trainees: these are valuable learning opportunities, and include on the job training as well as ‘brown-bag’ lunches where experts from within the team or external guests from businesses, international organisations and institutions run a session on a topic where they have extensive knowledge.
Fondation EurActiv has a revised training programme for 2008, consisting of at least four half day sessions. Each session will feature a presentation given by a distinguished guest speaker and practical exercises on skill-building, team-building and cohesion.
Other distinguished speakers address monthly team lunches throughout the year.
