EurActiv has competed successfully in open competition for EU tenders and calls for proposal since 2001. EurActiv has won around 15 major projects from a cross-section of different directorates general as well as supporting a range of smaller projects through advertising. The EurActiv network is the natural channel to national “multipliers” for EU programmes and research projects.

EurActiv network of policy portals built in 8 countries in response to two eContent calls during 2001-2004.
Client: DG Employment, European Commission
EurActiv opened a full policy section providing a policy platform for many stakeholders from most member states. Substantial outreach to other media achieved during 2006.
Client: DG Enlargement, European Commission
EurActiv produced monthly newsletters on enlargement process in the run-up to the 2004 accession of ten new member states.

EurActiv expanded its policy section on Opinion & Governance during 2007 to cover the results of 150 debates designed to determine what citizens want from the EU, held across all member states.

Being present on this list provide EU Projects consortia, traffic to their websites and visibility of their partners. "From Contacts to Contracts", a person-alized service at international fairs and exhibitions. The EU MATCHING events provide an opportunity to carry out pre-arranged face-to-face meetings on the basis of co-operation profiles of each participating company. Each company has also the opportunity of attending the international trade fairs of Vilnius, Tallinn, Vienna and Berlin. This event works towards the idea of partnering in an international environ-ment, not only in order to find new cli-ents, but also for new subcontractors, agents, distributors, suppliers, temporary associates, joint ventures or for valuable market research.

CASCADE Network of Excellence |

CASCADE brings 26 research groups from nine EU member states together in a network for durable coordination and integra-tion of research on chemical residues in food. The network is fi-nanced by the European Commission for five years for its re-search, integration, teaching, information, and risk assessment activities.

COST |

COST is an intergovernmental European framework for international cooperation between nationally funded research activities. COST creates scientific networks and enables scientists to collaborate in a wide spectrum of activities in research and technology. Scientists themselves propose new Actions making COST an attractive forum for new and emerging topics. COST comprises 34 member states throughout Europe and one cooperating state. COST activities are administered by the COST Office.

Regenerando: Cities work together for employment (2004-2006) |

REGENERANDO is a network of cities, co-financed by the URBACT programme (European Commission, E.R.D.F.), it aims at demonstrating the role of the municipalities in implementing actions for employment . The project is to facing the current challenges of unemployment at urban level and some significant aspects of the employment impact through urban integrated actions. The project will demonstrate the capacity of the municipalities in creating job opportunities, promoting human capital, fighting the undeclared work, encouraging inclusion policies and attracting and supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), these last ones considered a sources of employment. Finally a public political declaration will be signed by Mayors.

EurActiv has won a sub-contract related to creating and producing written and online promotional copy. The complete contract has been awarded by DG SANCO to a consortium led by Qwentes-Kantor (www.qwentes-kantor.be). The main focus of the EurActiv share is to produce rapidly a range of publications on Consumer protection, Public health, food safety, plant protection, animal health and welfare with the aid of professional writers and editors.

The objective of the Grundtvig project „Europa – mit Methode!” is to develop innovative adult education methods, particularly for socially disadvantaged groups that are difficult to reach and know little about ‘Europe’ (i.e. young unemployed and homeless people). Furthermore, the project wants to reach multipliers in border regions.
