Slovakia's parliament approved on 5 November a widely-criticised law which protects so-called strategic companies from bankruptcy by giving the government the option to buy, restructure and find new investors for a firm.


Polish migrants 'still taking root' abroad  

More Polish migrants wish to stay in the West in spite of the economic downturn than politicians care to admit, recent surveys have shown. Many are taking root in wealthier societies than back home, EurActiv Poland reports.
