Croatia hopes to join EU 'in 2012'  [FR]

Despite calls for it to join earlier, realistically Croatia's EU accession in 2012 would still represent a great success, Mirko Galic, Croatia's ambassador to France, told EurActiv France in an exclusive interview.


Slovak parliament approves protectionist law  

Slovakia's parliament approved on 5 November a widely-criticised law which protects so-called strategic companies from bankruptcy by giving the government the option to buy, restructure and find new investors for a firm.
