Europeans warming up to paid online news  

The days of free online newspapers may be drawing to a close as major media owners announce their intention to impose stricter and higher pay barriers on their news services. And Europeans seem to be willing to pay for such services, according to a recent survey.


EU officials offered hotline for 'clear writing'  [DE]

The European Commission is seeking to kill off excessive legal speak by setting up a hotline that will give officials advice on how to write more clearly, it emerged at a conference in Brussels yesterday (17 November).
