Irish elections: no absolute majority for Bertie Ahern

Irish Prime Minister Ahern has failed to obtain an absolute parliamentary majority in the Irish elections of 17 May. Although winning 80 of the 166 seats in the Irish parliament (Dail), Mr. Ahern will be forced to work with others or to make a deal with independents.
