Croatia takes first step towards EU
Croatia has taken its first step towards the EU on 29 October by signing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement. The agreement gives Croatia priviliged access to EU markets while obliging it to adapt its legislation and administration to EU standards. Croatia's integration into Europe is conditional upon increased co-operation with its Balkan neighbours.
