On 21 March, Poland is expected to conclude its troubled negotiations on the conditions for the sale of agricultural land to EU residents. Under the agreed compromise, EU citizens will have to lease land for seven years in the west and the north of Poland, and for three years in the rest of the country, before they are allowed to purchase it.
