Analyse: Wie sieht die Zukunft des Euroraums aus?
Die internationalen Forschungsinstitute der Euroframe-Gruppe, CBN (Niederlande), DIW Berlin (Deutschland), ESRI (Irland), ETLA (Finnland), Institut für Weltwirtschaft Kiel (Deutschland), NIESR (Großbritannien), OFCE (Frankreich), PROMETIA (Italien), WIFO (Österreich) und CASE (Polen), haben gemeinsam ihren Frühjahrsbericht veröffentlicht. Der für die Kommission verfasste Bericht, analysiert die Entwicklung des Euroraums seit der Euro in Umlauf gebracht worden ist. Dieser Bericht befasst sich insbesondere mit möglichen Entwicklungen für 2006, sowie den Auswirkungen durch den Beitritt der neuen Mitgliedstaaten.

According to the Euroframe – EFN, „following general sluggishness in the euro area growth performance in recent years, 2006 is forecast to bring about an improved performance with a GDP growth rate of 2.2 per cent. This is the fastest rate of expansion since the year 2000. The composition in growth is also expected to differ from recent years.“
In this report, the Euroframe – EFN also looks at the various European policies on the euro and deals with the integration of the new member states into the euro area.
