Clashes threaten Macedonian ceasefire

Clashes between Albanian rebels and Macedonian government forces on 22 July broke the 17-day old ceasefire and threatened to disrupt the peace process. The Macedonian defence ministers blamed the insurgents, saying they had attacked the government forces in villages above the town of Tetovo, the unofficial capital of the ethnic Albanian minority.
