Court rules on cooperation between lawyers and accountants
The European Court of Justice decided on 19 February that EU Member States may restrict possible cooperations between lawyers and accountants. The Court estimated that there might be incompatibility between the advisory activities carried out by a lawyer and the supervisory activities carried out by an accountant.
