Lithuania edges closer to EU membership
The EU initialled a trade facilitation agreement with Lithuania on 25 July. The agreement will extend certain benefits of the EU's single market to Lithuania, and marks the first step towards establishing the EU Single Market in industrial sectors for which Lithuania has harmonised its legislation with EU law.
