Polish parties agree on government coalition
The Democratic Left Alliance (SLD), the winner of Poland's September 23 national elections, has agreed to form a coalition government with the smaller Peasants Party. Former communist Leszek Miller, who was appointed Poland's new prime minister on 4 October, said he would announce his cabinet members on Wednesday.
