Commission puts pressure on Switzerland over airline help

The Commission has asked Switzerland to stick to the strict EU rules on state aid when helping out national airline Swissair. Although Switzerland is not an EU Member State, it has approved in 1999 a number of bilateral agreements with the EU, including one on air transport.
