DIW: Enlargement can be financed from EU budget
The EU's enlargement to ten new members can be easily financed from the Union's current budgetary framework, according to a study by the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), released beginning of September. However, the Institute warns the present Member States to press on with the implementation of the long overdue structural and agricultural policy that will weigh heavily on the enlargement process.
