EP to tackle data protection and privacy in e-communications

On 6 September the European Parliament (EP) plenary will vote on the draft directive on data protection and privacy in electronic communications. On 10 July the EP committee on citizens' freedoms and rights, justice and home affairs voted for an opt-out regime for electronic communications, but not all agree this is the way to go.
