EP reconsiders data protection and privacy

On 6 September the European Parliament (EP) plenary rejected the proposal on the draft directive on data protection and privacy in electronic communications. The draft proposal has therefore been sent back to the EP citizens' rights committee, in effect delaying the process some four months.
