Eurosceptic wins UK Conservative leadership election

Eurosceptic Iain Duncan Smith has beaten the pro-Europe Ken Clarke in an election to determine who would lead the Conservative party in the UK. Mr Duncan Smith got 61% of the vote with Mr Clarke receiving 39% in the first leadership competition that party members have been allowed to decide. The Shadow cabinet that Mr Duncan Smith announced is made up overwhelmingly of eurosceptics.
