Bavaria joins Austria's call to close down the Temelin nuclear plant

The Bavarian Environment Minister, Werner Schnappauf, called for an immediate closure of the Czech nuclear plant in Temelin following several incidents at the plant. Bavaria thus joined Austria where nearly a million voters signed a petition in January, demanding the closure of the controversial plant, located close to the border with Germany and Austria.
